The Edinburgh Airport Noise Review Panel (EANRP) was tasked with evaluating the effectiveness of Edinburgh Airport Limited’s (EAL) community engagement practices regarding noise issues through the Edinburgh Airport Noise Advisory Board (EANAB). The EANRP’s review involved:
- Assessing the existing parameters for EANAB’s operation.
- Engaging with EANAB members, EAL representatives, and affected communities to understand different perspectives.
- Examining national guidance and best practices from other airports on noise mitigation.
The final review document was published in Feb 2022.
EANAB Annual Reports
EANAB publishes a report on its activities for the previous year. There was no Annual Report for 2022 as there was a Review instead. The next will be available in Autumn 2024.
EANAB made progress towards its goals, but external factors significantly limited its overall achievements.
Despite facing its most challenging year yet, EANAB has seen significant improvements in its relationship with the airport and remains optimistic about the future.
This EANAB Annual Review for 2019 serves two purposes: to examine our past year’s activities and to identify key areas where we can contribute our expertise on noise issues in the coming year.
